Tri-Dosha Traditional Form | 60-90 Minutes
A traditional set of asanas designed to reset and synchronize the body’s natural healing processes by cultivating the ability to relax. This is a slow-moving, meditative yoga, accessible to beginners and challenging to yogis, that provides a platform for your own personal practice and a supportive environment ideal for those who are going through stressful times, suffering from chronic pain, recovery, arthritis, depression for example. This is an internal process that engages the mind and the body to relax through a series of strong asanas that cultivates self-acceptance, confidence and mental balance. In an era that cultivates distraction, this experience can open doors.
Standing Alignment & Form | 30 Minutes
The standing series focuses on the interplay of balance, strength and alignment within your body and is most effective when practiced in preparation for the Tri-Dosha series. The mind and body communicate to bring harmony between your current level of balance, strength and alignment and evolves over time. This is an intermediate level class.
Seated Folding Form | 30-60 Minutes
The seated folding series has a core emphasis on the hips, backs and legs utilizing repetition to inform and cultivate the body's ability to relax. Time is provided for the body to ease into the asanas and deepen the effects, while the repetition enables the body to build on its cultivated comfort and knowledge. It is an excellent addition to weekly practice and in preparation for the Tri-Doshas series. This is an advanced practice that increases in difficulty as multiples of repetition increase.
Surya Namaskar - Sun Salutation | 30+ Minutes
This is a ritual consecration of the Sun Principle and the power behind the Sun. Surya Namaskar is the capstone of the collective series described above and is available to long-term practitioners that can perform the required strength, balance and flexibility required for the asanas and have cultivated the state of mind to fully engage in a ritual puja. An interactive class focusing on posture and symbology is also an available option.
Adapted Yoga Therapy | Incorporated into Asana Practice per Client requirements
Asana series can be adapted to address and manage specific diseases and ailments such as diabetes, hypertension, anxiety, arthritis, obesity, thyroid, cancer, asthma, digestion and reproductive issues. Therapy as handed down by Yogacharya Vishwas Mandlik from Swami Satyananda and influenced by the Tantric tradition. A yoga asana sequence can be designed per individual requirements that can be practiced at home.
Breath & Bodywork
Thai Yoga Bodywork | 60-120 Minutes
Thai Yoga Bodywork is an Ancient Indian Practice cultivated by Jivaka Kumara Baccha in Thaliand's monasteries, blending both Indian and Chinese life sciences to improve physical and mental health and facilitate energy flow, by combining acupressure and energy line stimulation through massage and gentle stretching. Massage treatments can be adapted to address specific ailments, to foster deep relaxation or stimulate energy reserves, using different acupressure techniques ranging from gentle (hand) to deep tissue (Tok Sen, using vibrational tools).
Meridian and Bone Alignment | 30 Minutes
Sometimes called a Walking Massage, based on Siddha Medicine (Traditional South Indian), pressure is applied to adjust the physical alignment, while the Vedic meridians are stimulated to improve overall energy flow. It is a particularly agreeable way to loosen the body, prepare for morning asanas, and can be learned and shared with a partner.
Bandhas & Pranayama | Variable
Locks and energy control to deepen one's practice and cultivate the body's natural ability to coalesce prana and kundalini. These can be practiced separately or can be integrated into one's asana practice. While often overlooked, these are valuable practices that can be quite accessible with informed guidance.
Internal Organ Mountain Qi Gong (Nei Zang Gong) | Currently Not Available
Organ Qi Gong facilitates Qi flow throughout the body and increases internal sensitivity/awareness. This form of Qi Gong improves overall circulation, internal organ health and regulates mood, while also increasing strength, flexibility and agility. The heart, liver, spleen, lungs and kidneys, and the moods they are linked to are specifically targeted. As handed down by Master Tevia Feng of the Tian Ji Dao Sect.
